June 3 – 6 p.m. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for The Wheel House, 1009 W. 3rd Street. This resale and outdoor furniture store is a new business in Rogers City. This event is free and open to the public. Come out and support this new business and see what they have to offer.
June 5 – 8 a.m. Chamber Board Meeting at Kortman’s Restaurant in Rogers City. All chamber members are welcome to this meeting.

June 7 – 10 a.m to 6 p.m. Rogers City Kiwanis Spring Fest Arts & Crafts Show at Westminster Park in Rogers City. Music, family fun and the popular Kiwanis whitefish sandwiches!
June 9 – 6 p.m. Economic Development Committee information meeting at The Center of Rogers City (behind the Presque Isle Athletic Club). This meeting will explain the merging of the Alpena County EDC and the Presque Isle County EDC. Jim Klarich, the Executive Director for Economic Development in Alpena will explain what services the EDC will offer and how it will impact the community. This meeting is completely open to the public and the whole community is encouraged to come.
June 13 & 14 – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rogers City Spring City-Wide Garage Sale. Maps will be available to pick up at the Chamber Office. If you would like to have your home places on the map please contact Linda Ide at 989-351-8386 the fee is $10. Deadline to submit is June 6.

40 Mile Point Lighthouse Historical Encampment - July 12 & 13 Experience an 18th and 19th Century Historical Encampment featuring the dress and activities of the Traders, Mountain men and Voyageurs of the era. Perhaps someone from the Civil War will show up.There will be tomahawk throwing, adobe oven and campfire cooking, fire starting, spinning/weaving and children’s activities -- everything is an accurate depiction of a by-gone time. The lighthouse, Pilot House and Bunkhouse Gift Shop will also be open for tours both days. Saturday night will feature a Sing -Along with tall tales and swapping of lies around the campfire from 7p.m. to dusk. As always, no “frog skins” are required. Come out to find out what “frog skins” mean.This event is sponsored by the 40 Mile Point Lighthouse Society and admission is free! 4th Annual Light up the City Christmas Parade- Parade will begin at 6pm from the Westminster Church and proceed down 3rd street to Huron Ave. and back to the Presque Isle Historical Museum for the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree.
