Parks, Trails & Beaches
Rogers City is known for its beautiful parks and other recreation areas, including Seagull Point Park, Trout River Park, North Shore Park, Lakeside Park, Westminster Park, Sports Park, South Shore Park, Herman Vogler Conservaiton Area, and the Huron Sunrise Trail.
Trout River Park
Trout River is within walking distance of Rogers City and the pond below the dam is a good place to acquaint your kids with the sport of trout fishing.
This area is part of the Herman Vogler Conservation Area (more below)- 270 acres of public land, spectacular scenery and an abundance of wildlife.

Hoeft State Park
Heavily wooded 300 acre park on with a mile of sandy, Lake Huron shoreline with small sand dunes, with 144 modern campsites and a mini cabin. P.H. Hoeft State Park Offers a Sears Roebuck Lodge for rent.

Westminster Park
This park also hosts the annual "Light up the City" tree lighting ceremony, which kicks off each year's holiday season. The Optimist Club and Rogers City Chamber of Commerce co-sponsor the event.

Herman Vogler Conservation Area
The HVCA contains more than seven miles of trails, all used by hikers, cross-country skiers, hunters and nature lovers. Four main trails run along Trout River and are beginner, moderate and challenging. The trail system traces a path through a constantly changing blend of habitats that range from hardwood highlands to cedar thickets and marshes.

Lakeside Park
This impressive park in Rogers City stretches over 10 acres of waterfront and beautifully maintained grounds dotted with playgrounds, picnic areas, and a variety of recreational areas for fishing, swimming, volleyball and basketball.
Connected by meandering sidewalks and boardwalk, the park offers a bandshell, pavilion and food concessions as well as the city’s 140-slip marina.

Sports Park
Sports Park or "The Hole" as it is known to most, offers recreational activities year round as it serves as a softball park, inline skating rink and basketball court in the summer and an ice rink in the winter. Sports Park Details
