Match on Main grant application page

To all downtown Rogers City business owners:

Through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) Match on Main Program, the Rogers City DDA can apply for grant dollars to help new or expanding businesses within the downtown.

The DDA has set a deadline of March 1, 2022 at 10 a.m. for applications to be submitted to the City Manager.

The DDA can submit not more than two applications, each of them on behalf of just one business.

The maximum grant is $25,000, with the required match from the business at least 10% of the grant requested.

An interested business is strongly encouraged to first consider the qualifications.  Click on each of the five links below to review important grant related documents:

  • A fact sheet from MEDC about Match on Main, including additional direction regarding the businesses and expenses that are eligible
  • A program guide with more detailed information about Match on Main
  • The local business worksheet that must be completed in its entirety by the business and submitted to the city manager no later than March 1, 2022 at 10 a.m.
  • Info on the method through which the local business worksheets will be scored (should more than two businesses be interested and the DDA have to choose which to include)
  • Map of the Main Street district referenced in the scoring system

After review, if you believe you are eligible reach out to City Manager Joe Hefele at jhefele@rogerscity.com or (989) 734-2191 to discuss.
